Pulbrook & Gould has become the first retailer to sign a new green lease with landlord Grosvenor Britain & Ireland — a significant milestone in our commitment to sustainable floristry and a greener Belgravia. The announcement was featured on Grosvenor's news and insights platform.
Sustainable Floristry at Our Core
Pulbrook & Gould has long been committed to sustainable floristry — prioritising British-grown flowers and natural materials, and creating floral works of art that tread as lightly as possible on the planet. The new green lease with Grosvenor extends that ethos to the running of our flagship store on Buckingham Palace Road, reducing our environmental footprint and contributing to a greener Belgravia.
Managing Director Erik Karlsen said: "Grosvenor's new green lease allows us to extend our ethos of sustainable floristry."
What the Green Lease Means in Practice
Working in partnership with Grosvenor, Pulbrook & Gould will:
- Collect and share energy consumption data to drive continuous improvement
- Implement a waste reduction and recycling programme
- Utilise only green energy for the store's operations
- Join a new tenant forum to share experiences and accelerate sustainability innovation
Tor Burrows, Director of Sustainability & Innovation at Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, commented: "Working together, landlords and tenants can drive down emissions much faster, creating healthier, more sustainable places. We're also acutely aware of the cost pressures on businesses and the changes to leases only include no-cost or low-cost initiatives."
A First for Mayfair and Belgravia
The green lease will now become standard for all new office and retail tenants in Grosvenor's Mayfair and Belgravia portfolio — making Pulbrook & Gould a pioneer in what promises to be a significant shift in how London's most prestigious estates approach sustainability. Grosvenor's buying power means tenants could save around 6% on electricity bills while reducing CO₂ emissions — a meaningful benefit for independent businesses like ours.
Our Commitment to a Greener Future
Sustainability isn't a new idea for us — it's woven into how we source, arrange, and deliver our flowers. From British-grown blooms to natural packaging materials, we're always looking for ways to do better. The Grosvenor green lease is the next step in that journey, and one we're proud to be leading.
