The story begins with the friendship and shared vision of Susan, Lady Pulbrook, and Rosamund Gould, whose love of the English country garden established a new, more natural language of floristry in London. Archival photographs sit alongside later work, tracing the house's evolution while revealing the principles that remain constant: seasonality, generosity, individuality and an instinctive sense of occasion.
The floristry chapter explores arrangements for the home, from quietly elegant seasonal flowers to sculptural statements created for significant rooms.
