Pulbrook & Gould's Scented Candle Collection brings the English country garden indoors. It is our first move into home fragrance — a natural extension, after 70 years, of a brand built on the sensory and emotional power of flowers.
A Fragrance Story, 70 Years in the Making
Pulbrook & Gould was founded in 1956 by Susan Lady Pulbrook and Rosamund Gould, a Constance Spry-trained florist, with the aim of bringing the beauty of English gardens and flowers to the most stylish houses in London. For over sixty years, our quality, creative flair and exclusive service have made us internationally renowned for adventurous, memorable floral work, always inspired by the sensory delights of the English country garden. Our scented candles were developed with that same heritage in mind.
Developed with a Master Perfumer
Each candle was developed in association with Master Perfumer Ruth Mastenbroek, who brings over 40 years of experience creating world-famous scents, together with Nic Mastenbroek. Every fragrance is created using the highest quality natural floral oils and hand-poured for a consistent burn, with an average burn time of 45 hours. Candles and all packaging are responsibly produced in the UK.
The Collection: Five Fragrances
The range consists of five candles — one signature scent that epitomises the floral character of the English country garden, and four seasonal scents that emulate the perfume of flowers and foliage from the garden throughout the year. Each is presented in its own 220g (7.8oz) glass tumbler, finished in dark green with gold foil branding.
Signature
A sparkling bouquet of jasmine and geranium, daphne and hyacinth, with roses and peonies at its heart — an iconic representation of Pulbrook & Gould's style and heritage.

Spring
A breath of the first floral scents of the year, with heady wisteria, delicate lily of the valley and hints of the first rhubarb on a bed of soft woods — the joy of the garden bursting back to life.

Summer
Floral scents of warm, heady summer days, with fragrant thyme and basil, fresh sweet peas and intoxicating jasmine — the scent of summer on the breeze.

Autumn
Woody amber, earthy patchouli and dusty late-blooming roses, dahlia and geranium — perfect for when the nights are drawing in and the leaves are turning.

Winter
The invigorating scent of fir needles, eucalyptus and warm, complex oakmoss — a crisp winter walk through the wood, to enjoy indoors next to a roaring fire.

Launched with Fortnum & Mason
The collection launched exclusively at Fortnum & Mason in June 2023, and remains available at their Piccadilly store and website, as well as at Pulbrook & Gould's own store and website.
